Questions & Answers

Commonly asked Questions & Answers

Q: Do I need prior experience of meditation to join your class?

A: Not at all, it suits all levels from beginners to experienced meditators. It’s open to anyone interested in trying out or developing their own practice.

Q: What about if I’m unable to commit to weekly classes?

A: You’re welcome to drop in to my classes & you don’t need to commit to weekly attendance, nor to a particular venue. Each week we try different practices or return to ones we’ve done before, but you’ll be guided through these every time. Regular practice is key to really seeing the benefits of meditation & mindfulness, which is why I offer weekly classes, but I also pick out exercises & tasks you can use in your daily life, irrespective of how often you’re able to attend.

Q: What if I’m unable to sit or lie on a yoga mat?

A: Each of my venues has chairs so that you have a choice of whether to be seated on a chair or the floor. You’re also welcome to move about in between practices or try a standing meditation.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: A blanket & maybe jumper or jacket for keeping cosy whilst meditating. Otherwise, it depends on the venue; if you get in touch prior I’ll send all relevant information. That said, I have spare mats & cushions so you can choose to just turn up on the day if it’s one of my weekly classes.

Q: How do I pay & what if I can’t afford it at the moment?

A: If you request joining instructions you’ll be given my bank details to pay online, but I also accept cash on the day. I offer a reduction in cost for anyone in receipt of benefits. Please do get in touch with me if you’re experiencing financial hardship.
